Heartbreaking News: 4 Year-Old Child Drowns in NJ Pool

The Middlesex County Prosecutor and the North Brunswick Police Department said that a four-year-old boy had drowned in a pool on Saturday night.

At 7:46 p.m., the North Brunswick Police Department received a call stating that a child had been discovered unconscious in a swimming pool.

When the police arrived, they performed CPR on the boy and took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"This awful loss has left our hearts heavy. We are very sorry for the family's loss and send our warmest sympathies. Chief Battaglia of the police and Prosecutor Ciccone both urged everyone to make sure that children are safe whenever they are near water.

Investigations into this occurrence are still ongoing.
