How Much Snow Will Fall in Ocean County, NJ This Weekend?

Snowstorm Hitting Jersey Shore

Should You Get Your Shovels Ready?

While experts are more confident that a snowfall will form off the East Coast, they are still unsure how or where it will affect New Jersey on Friday night and into Saturday.

Though the eastern half of the state has the best chance for snow, forecasters warn it's still too early to tell if the track will result in a large storm, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service stated, "We're quite convinced this will be all snow." "This might be a significant snowstorm (6-12+) if everything comes together."

The storm's snowfall forecast maps have yet to be released by the National Weather Service's New Jersey office.

The early forecast map from AccuWeather predicts 6 to 12 inches for the eastern part of New Jersey and 3 to 6 inches for the rest of the state, while experts warn that two possible paths down the coast might cause confusion.

According to AccuWeather.com, a 50-mile shift in the storm's track over the Atlantic Ocean could mean the difference between the majority of the state being flooded or not.
