Howell Township Incident: SWAT Teams Involved, Man Found Dead
According to the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office, members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and Howell Township Police Department are investigating the death of an adult male.
The deceased male was discovered Thursday morning at 6:41 a.m. in the vicinity of the 170 block of White Street. Residents noticed a reduced police presence and the investigation is active and ongoing at multiple locations.

Moments after leaving a house with a baby in tow and waving it around, a number of police officers with their guns drawn are seen putting a suspect into custody in dramatic video of an arrest made Thursday morning.
Following police confirmation that an adult male's body had been discovered early Thursday morning, the incident was part of a huge investigation that took place at three distinct locations throughout Howell Township. According to neighbors, the body was discovered inside a car on White Street early on Thursday morning.
Police followed the inquiry from White Street to Southport Drive and Chestnut Hill Road.
A next-door neighbor's video captures many officers brandishing their firearms. Homeowners in the area were unable to evacuate for several hours due to the tense situation. Police were unable to verify if anyone had been arrested at this location.
As police descended on a third site, the area started to empty about 10:30 a.m. The police then proceeded to Springhill Drive, a few blocks away. not verified by the prosecutors in Monmouth County. By the early afternoon, every scene was secured.
Neither the man's identity nor the cause or manner of his death were released.
