Important Warning: Text Scams Targeting Robinhood Accounts
The Manchester Township Police Department is warning residents about a new text message scam circulating in our area.
There have been reports of people receiving text messages claiming there’s an issue with their Robinhood investment account or that unusual activity has been detected. The message includes a link that appears legitimate but directs users to a fake website designed to steal personal information, login credentials, or banking details.
If you receive a message like this:
📲Do not click any links or respond to the message.
📲Do not enter any personal or financial information.
📲Delete the message immediately.
If you’re concerned about your Robinhood account, go directly to the official Robinhood app or website—never through a link sent via text or email.
As a reminder, legitimate companies will never ask you to verify or provide account information through unsolicited text messages.
If you believe you’ve been a victim of this scam and provided personal information, please contact us at
732-657-6111 and report the incident.
