Power Outages Throughout Toms River
On Hooper Avenue on Friday afternoon, a car accident brought down a pole and rendered several traffic signals inoperable, according to Toms River Police.
According to authorities, the accident has forced the closure of Hooper Avenue between Indian Hill Road and Fischer Boulevard.
Police advised drivers to take alternate routes since there were "multiple traffic signals in the area with
power outages."
Also at approximately 2:30 pm on Friday afternoon another motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersections of Main St. and Highland Parkway, and Main St. and Colfax St. were also closed.
