Increased Flooding Threats and Isolated Thunderstorm Activity in NJ
According to the National Weather Service, storm coverage and intensity should generally be lower than the last few days, but a few additional instances of flooding or a very isolated gusty thunderstorm can't be completely ruled out. Overall, however, we're starting to get out of the stormiest part of the pattern. Wetter and cooler on Thursday with occasional showers and thunderstorms.
Highs reach the low 80s.
The pattern of high humidity and a daily pop-up storm persists into next week.
Although Thursday's weather in New Jersey is expected to be milder than the previous three, forecasters are not discounting the possibility of further thunderstorms and heavy rain.
The National Weather Service continues to predict isolated storms in the afternoon and spotty showers in the morning, but for the first time since Sunday, there are no watches or warnings in effect anywhere in the state.
