Latest News on Fishing Vehicle Permits
Island Beach State Park Mobile Sport Fishing Vehicle Permit Update
Starting now, until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the State Park Service is accepting applications to a lottery for the chance to purchase an Annual or Weekday-Only Island Beach State Park Mobile Sport Fishing Vehicle Permits.
No payment is required to participate in the lottery.
Please note: Weekday-Only permits allow 7-day access to the beach outside of peak season, Jan. 1 to May 18 and Oct. 1 to Dec 31.
After the lottery application period closes a selection process will be conducted using a computer algorithm to ensure fairness and transparency.
Selected applicants will receive a unique link via email to purchase their permit.
If the permit is not purchased within 14 days, additional names will be drawn.
2025 PERMIT PICKUP
Island Beach State Park staff have begun processing permit orders.
Those who successfully purchased a permit will receive an email when their permit is ready for pickup at the Island Beach State Park gatehouse.
