Kidney Transplant Needed for 14-Year-Old Boy from New Jersey

Kidney Transplant Needed for 14-Year-Old Boy from New Jersey

A family in Morris County, New Jersey, has made an urgent plea to find a kidney donor for 14-year-old Thaddeus Giansanti who needs a transplant as soon as possible since his only kidney is deteriorating.

Carlo and Christa,Thaddeus's parents, were interviewed by Eyewitness News to discuss their son. "He volunteers at school. He volunteers at church. Christa Giansanti, Thaddeus' mother, said her son even volunteered at the food bank this summer.

The 14-year-old is in dire need of a new kidney. He has been fighting this struggle since before he was even born.

Thaddeus Giansanti stated, "There's a lot going on with pills—they're changing my energy levels, kind of making me go for blood test and doctors more often." "To be honest, obtaining a new kidney would take care of that and allow me to be more normal in certain ways. Return to my normal period and stop feeling so exhausted."

A living donor is his best chance of living the best life imaginable.

The close-knit, devout Morris County family is pushing themselves beyond their calm comfort zone to seek assistance because no one in the family is a match. Carlo Giansanti remarked, "He's not just a wonderful child; he has a bright future, and you'd be a part of that."

More details about Thaddeus' situation are provided below, along with a QR code that directs you to a website run by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to check your potential compatibility.

Recent blood work reveals the teen needs a new kidney as soon as possible.
