30 Acres Burning In Wildfire

According to NJ Forest Fire Service a wildfire near the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood had burned 30 acres and threatened six buildings.

Clearstream Road between Brewers Bridge and Hope Chapel Road has been closed due to the fire, which was 0% contained this afternoon, according to authorities. According to officials, it was also creating delays on West County Line Road.

The endangered buildings were located on Seminole Drive. Activities in Pine Park have been suspended, according to officials.

Bulldozers and fire trucks are working on containment, and the forest fire service has a helicopter on the area for observation, according to the service.

According to a recent update, The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is making progress containing a wildfire burning in the area of Pine Park and the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, Ocean County.

The size of the fire is 33 acres and 20% is now contained as of 7:45 pm this evening.

Roads affected according to NJ Forest Fire Service are Clearstream Road which is closed between Brewers Bridge and Hope Chapel Road.

0 Structures are threatened at this time.

The Forest Fire Service remain on scene with fire engines, bulldozers and ground crews. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Next update will be approximately 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 19th.
