Lockdown Lifted at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst: All Clear
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst officials declared Tuesday morning that the lockdown had been lifted.
At 11 a.m., the lockdown was announced. Shortly before noon, it was removed.
Schools close to the base were under shelter-in-place orders due to the lockdown.
The first notice read, "THERE IS A LOCKDOWN AT JBMDL. ALL PERSONNEL ARE TO LOCKDOWN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ALL PERSONNEL OUTDOORS SHOULD TAKE COVER.
Information about the cause of the lockdown was not immediately available.
