Long Road to Recovery for Mom in Toms River Accident

Long Road to Recovery for Mom in Toms River Accident

Kathleen Brown of Toms River

Following an automobile accident on Oak Ridge Parkway last week, a Toms River woman would require a lengthy recovery, according to her relatives.

55 Year-Old, Kathleen Brown was admitted to the hospital following the collision.

Brown's 2013 Buick Regal veered off the road, hitting multiple street signs, a traffic signal support, and a utility pole before flipping, according to Toms River Police. She was traveling north on Oak Ridge Parkway close to Winding River Ice Arena. Oak Ridge Parkway was closed by the collision for a few hours, according to the police.

Kathleen has several fractures to her face, cranium, and pelvis. She will need numerous reconstructive surgeries.

"This will take years to recover from," according to her daughter in her GoFundMe page, where she was asking for contributions to help cover the costs. "The overwhelming concern of the medical bills, her physical therapy, doctors visits and being able to provide for our home is a great concern."

You can make a donation to the GoFundMe to help the family with medical bills.
