Major Restaurant Chain in New Jersey Announces Nationwide Closures

A chain restaurant that has almost ten locations in New Jersey intends to close many of its sites nationwide.

Red Robin stated that it might close 20 of its corporately owned sites in 2026 during an earnings call last week. Red Robin CEO David Paces stated, "I believe we are still working to optimize the portfolio in terms of the restaurant (franchise) size."
According to Restaurant Business, Red Robin shuttered 23 locations last year and ended 2025 with 475 in the United States.

The venues that will close in 2026 have not yet been revealed by the chain.

Red Robin is confident about its future in spite of the announcement.

The restaurant debuted a new menu in January with six meal options ranging in price from $9.99 to $16.99. These options went beyond burgers and included items like our hand-breaded Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwiches, Donatos pizza, and Whiskey River BBQ wraps.

Signature endless sides and drinks are served with every meal.

  • Cherry Hill: 2100 NJ-38
