Francisco Rosales-Flores is being held at the Ocean County Jail
According to police, a male from Jackson Township was detained in connection with a luring attempt on Oct. 30 in Jackson.
According to Jackson Capt. Steve Laskiewicz, Francisco Rosales-Flores, 39, was detained on Thursday.
Rosales Flores was identified as the man who approached a 13-year-old girl in a white GMC Yukon as she walked down Pitney Lane, just off Cooks Bridge Road in Jackson, on Oct. 30. , just off Cooks Bridge Road in Jackson, NJ.
According to Laskiewicz, the girl was walking down Pitney Lane when the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, muttered something to her and then slowed down. The girl then recorded the Yukon on her cellphone as it proceeded to reverse up toward her.
He then went on to question the girl, "Are you cold? I can give your aride. Get in my car", she told police. Laskiewicz claimed she dashed to the nearest residence on Danielle Court, and the man drove away toward East Veterans Highway.
"It was also verified throughout the investigation that the license plate on the car was not valid and had not been returned to any registered vehicles," Laskiewicz stated.
Following the original report of the luring effort, Jackson police commended New Jersey State Police for their cooperation, as well as concerned locals who contacted police with tips.
Rosales-Flores is being jailed in the Ocean County Jail for further court proceedings and is being charged with second-degree luring.
