According to Brick Township Police Department, Harry Bray, Jr., 35, of Manchester, was charged on January 6, 2023, with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon for an Illegal Purpose, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in connection with an incident that happened in the late hours of January 5, 2023, resulting in serious bodily injuries to a female victim.
A Brick Township Police Department officer was performing a normal neighborhood check off Cherry Quay Road on January 5, 2023, about 5:30 p.m. when the officer spotted a car with two flat tires in a parking space. A female victim with several stab wounds was discovered on the ground close to the vehicle after additional inspection by the officer.
The woman was taken to a hospital in the area where her condition is currently described as serious but stable. The victim's injuries were traced back to Bray as a result of an investigation conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Major Crime Unit, Brick Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
On January 5, 2023, at a later hour, detectives from the Brick Township Police Department and the Major Crime Unit of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office arrested Bray without incident in Manchester Township. The Ocean County Jail is where Bray is presently being held while waiting for a detention hearing after being taken there.
