Man Faces Charges for Setting Fire at Ocean County Apartment
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced on Friday that a man from Lakewood is charged with intentionally starting a fire at an apartment on Thursday afternoon.
According to prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer,
Tysan Davis, 36, has been charged with aggravated arson in relation to a fire at the Fairway Villas.
Authorities reported the incident at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. According to authorities, Lakewood police and firemen promptly extinguished a fire after discovering a heap of smoldering garments and an air conditioner condenser on fire.

According to the prosecutor's office, Davis was arrested after investigators determined that he was the fire's originator. In anticipation of a detention hearing, he is being detained at the
Ocean County Jail.
Lakewood police, the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Major Crime Unit-Arson Squad conducted the investigation.
