The day after going missing, a woman from Brick was found injured in a collision and was later charged with drunk driving.
On May 3, shortly after two in the morning,
Toms River Police and EMS were called to the scene of a car crash into a retention basin at a working construction site near the
Ocean County Mall.
Officers at the scene, next to the mall's Bay Avenue entrance, freed Brick resident Danielle Neff, 56, from the car, according to the police. Before being taken to Jersey Shore Medical University, EMS treated her on the scene. It was unclear right away what injuries she incurred in the collision.
Neff received citations for drunk driving, dangerous driving, and operating a vehicle with an open container. According to authorities, the accident is being investigated.
Neff's brother Jimmy posted a missing person alert on Facebook the previous evening; he later updated that she was listed in stable condition after the accident.
