Mount Laurel Police Officer’s Wife Has Located Missing Woman
In Mount Laurel, New Jersey, a woman who had been missing for about 48 hours was spotted by the wife of a retired South Jersey police officer.
Around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, Danyila Nykytyn left her house in the 300 block of Val Drive. About 30 minutes later, she was captured on camera driving along Watson Drive close to Nottingham Way.
Around 8:30 a.m. that morning, a local noticed the 66-year-old strolling past a pond and into the woods in the vicinity of Watson Drive, which is just north of Nottingham Way.
Nykytyn only speaks Ukrainian, according to the police.
They added that she had no access to a car, her cash, or her phone.
Then, around 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the wife of a retired Mount Laurel police officer spotted the missing woman walking near the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, police said in a Facebook post.
Nykytyn was reunited with her family and taken to a hospital for observation, police said, while noting she didn’t appear to be hurt.
No indication was given as to where the missing woman had been for the past few days.
