According to Camden County Prosecutors Office, on February 27, a guy who was one of the top ten most wanted individuals in Ponce, Puerto Rico, was taken into custody in Camden on suspicion of drug offenses.

Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz, 50, of Reading, Pennsylvania, was accused of third-degree possession of a controlled substance and first-degree possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

According to officials, Delgado-Ruiz was wanted in Puerto Rico in connection with an attempted murder case.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force detectives learned in February that a suspect operating a Toyota minivan had a significant quantity of cocaine on him.

The van was registered to an address in Reading and was reportedly located around Penn Street and North Sixth Street.

Before Delgado-Ruiz was pulled over while traveling on February 27 in Camden, several detectives from other agencies collaborated to monitor the vehicle throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Authorities also discovered that he was wanted in Puerto Rico at this time.
He was arrested and sent to the Camden County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting extradition to Puerto Rico.

More than 12 ounces of suspected cocaine were discovered by investigators during a subsequent investigation of the van.

The case involved assistance from the Reading Police Department, Berks County District Attorney's Office, Berlin Township Police Department, and Camden County Sheriff's Office.
