Mother of Four Shot by Neighbor in Ocean County: Hear the Emotional 911 Call

Berkeley Shores resident Jill Kwatkoski informed a 911 dispatcher, "I am bleeding to death," shortly after her neighbor, John Adamo, shot both her and her husband, Tom Kwatkoski.

NBC released the audio of the 911 call made by the mother of four on Monday evening, following a prolonged dispute with her neighbor that escalated into violence. The motive behind the incident remains uncertain.

In a state of panic, Jill Kwatkoski's voice was recorded saying, "I believe my husband is dead outside, and my leg is killing me."
Authorities have confirmed that her husband is not deceased; he is presently in critical yet stable condition in the hospital. Jill Kwatkoski is also receiving treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

During a call to the dispatcher, she indicated that more than three shots had been fired and urgently requested assistance.

"I can't leave my kids," she said. "If I do, please tell them I love them."
Jill Kwatkoski reported that her husband was outside their home when Adamo approached and shot him. Authorities had previously indicated that Adamo first shot Tom Kwatkoski before discharging his weapon into the residence, injuring his wife in the process.

"There is blood everywhere," she remarked.

Following the shooting, Adamo returned to his own home, initiating a standoff with the Ocean County SWAT Team that lasted two and a half hours.
The standoff concluded when officers forcibly entered the front door of the residence, discovering Adamo deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom.

In the aftermath, a gofundme has been established to assist the Kwatkoskis during their recovery.
