New Jersey Car Crash Claims Life of 95-Year-Old Woman

According to authorities, a 95-year-old woman who was a part of a two-vehicle collision in Middletown on Monday passed away at a nearby hospital.

According to Middletown Police Department, the collision happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Newman Springs Road (Route 520) near Spring Garden Road.

According to authorities, the driver of one of the cars, 95-year-old Elizabeth T. Hannaway of Lincroft, was taken to a nearby hospital with "a complaint of pain" and subsequently passed away.

According to a statement from Middletown police, "police are currently looking into what the true cause of death would be and whether the crash and any injuries sustained during the crash contributed to her death."
