This fair weather system will start to move out of the state by the end of the week, and the winds will shift once more. From the Carolinas, milder air will begin to creep upwards. It will be a few degrees warmer than the seasonable average of 40 degrees, but it won't be warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt.
On Thursday, a new storm is expected to form in north Texas and make its way to us by the weekend. The effects of this weekend system on the area are still being worked out.
Rainfall is more likely to occur late Saturday.
The models for Sunday and Monday are slightly different. It's possible that cold air will catch up to this stalled or slowed system and alter the rain. Check the latest
