New Jersey Favorite Restaurant and Bar Set to Open in Toms River Spring 2026
According to a social media post, Tommy's Tavern + Tap, a restaurant franchise located in New Jersey, intends to establish its sixteenth branch in the old TGI Friday's property on Hooper Avenue in Toms River next spring.
The new eatery at 1279 Hooper Avenue will be the first in Ocean County and the thirteenth in New Jersey.
Tommy's Tavern and Tap's reputation has been established by its pizza options, beer choices, and bar atmosphere.
Specialty sandwiches including the Southwest Turkey Burger, Brisket Sandwich, and Cubano—which consists of sliced pork loin, ham, pickles, and cherry pepper mustard—are available on the restaurant's menu.
In addition to its restaurants in Staten Island and Newark, Delaware, Tommy's Tavern + Tap just launched its first location in Pennsylvania in King of Prussia.
Over 50 TGI Fridays stores nationwide, including five in New Jersey, abruptly closed last year.
