

Dangerously hot conditions, with heat index values of up to 107 degrees, are expected across northern New Jersey on Friday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The National Weather Service reports that an Extreme Heat Warning means that the combination of heat and humidity is expected to make it feel like it is 107 degrees or greater.
Extreme Heat Warning today with temperatures in the low to mid 90s and heat indices near 107°. There is also a 20% chance of an isolated severe thunderstorm during the day and a 70% chance in the evening.
Extreme Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the area from 10:00am until 9:00pm. The good news is that tomorrow is predicted to be 84° and windy.
Orange Air Quality Alert is in effect. Air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Effected groups include children, people with asthma, people with heart disease or other lung condition, and the elderly.
The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
