"Snooki" is Back in Seaside

Nicole Polizzi, aka "Snooki," is returning to Seaside Heights.

Polizzi, the star of MTV's "Jersey Shore" and its spin-off "Jersey Shore Family Vacation," will open a third Snooki Shop on the borough's Boulevard in the spring, she said on her social media on Friday, Jan. 14.

With hearts and lips emojis, the store's Instagram account claimed, "Seaside Heights, NJ, Coming Spring 2022, Tag & tell all your Mawma's." Polizzi currently owns and operates two Snooki Shops in Madison and Beacon, New York.

By email, Seaside Heights Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz said, "The mayor and borough council welcome Nicole and her fashion boutique store to the Seaside Heights business community."

Polizzi's particular seasonal outfits, Snooki memorabilia, and her beauty line are all available in the Snooki Shop. Here are videos from her other two stores.

From 2009 to 2012, the cast of "Jersey Shore" stayed in Seaside Heights, principally at 1209 Ocean Terrace, where they were surrounded by cameras. From the start, the hit show "Jersey Shore" garnered criticism. Before it aired, the show was dubbed "trash television" by UNICO National, an Italian-American organization, and the Jersey Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau piled on, claiming that "MTV is providing a one-dimensional, dramatized version of a very small group of visitors' summer experiences in one Jersey Shore town."

Snooki Shop is a Seasonal Store

Many of the show's iconic locations, such as the "Jersey Shore" mansion, the Shore Store (where the last cast worked), and Spicy Cantina, are still popular with fans. The Bamboo Bar, which was featured regularly on the show, was demolished in 2021.

The majority of the cast was denied a permission to film Seaside Heights when they recorded 2017's "Reunion Road Trip," which aired on E! On "Reunion Road Trip," the cast discussed their wild years in Seaside Heights, including arrests, brawls, and urinating themselves all over town.

Mike said, "We did went crazy." Sorrentino's "The Situation"

"I understand why we aren't wanted back," Polizzi remarked. "We were a complete disaster."

The borough also refused to allow the filming of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation," which premiered in 2018, because the area wants to "move on" from the image. In recent seasons, "JSFV" has relocated to Manalapan and Point Pleasant Beach, with storylines focusing on the cast members' interpersonal and family ties rather than nights out at local clubs.

Sorrentino and his wife Lauren Sorrentino, as well as Deena Cortese and her husband Chris Buckner, both had kids in Season 5's premiere. Polizzi married Jionni Lavalle, whom she met at the Karma nightclub in the borough. They live in Florham Park and Toms River with their three children.

Polizzi isn't the only cast member of "Jersey Shore" to operate a store in the state. Jenni "JWoww" Farley founded Heavenly Flower, a maternity clothing business, in East Rutherford's American Dream complex in 2021.

On the oceanfront in Ocean City, former cast member Sammy "Sweetheart" Giancola founded Sweetheart Coast, a clothing/boutique store.
