NJ Braces for Hail and Winds Following a Warm Weekend

According to the most recent forecast, Monday's severe storms, which might bring hail, thunder, lighting, and strong, gusty winds, will follow this weekend's summerlike conditions.

According to National Weather Service forecasters, Saturday is predicted to be the warmest day of the season, with highs in the 60s along the immediate shore and in the mid-70s to low-80s inland. Even while Sunday won't be as hot, highs will still be in the mid-60s to mid-70s.
A cold front moves in Sunday night and crosses through Monday into Monday night, the National Weather Service said.

Parts of the Garden State are listed in the Severe Weather Outlook for Monday by the Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service.

The majority of New Jersey is expected to see severe thunderstorms, hail, flooding, and dangerous wind gusts of up to 60 to 70 mph, according to AccuWeather analysts. From southeast Louisiana to New Jersey, severe weather will move up the Eastern Seaboard.

"A few severe thunderstorms could still produce a brief tornado," according to AccuWeather analysts, even though there is currently little chance of tornadoes on Monday. "High gusts, hail, and flash flooding will be the primary threats of severe weather on Monday."

It's too early to discern the details just yet, but another storm could occur later this week.
