NJ Braces for Powerful Storm System: Check Latest Forecast

Tomorrow in New Jersey we could see many rounds of storms, some of which could be strong and "borderline severe," according to experts.

Wednesday night is expected to bring rain and thunderstorms into Thursday morning according to the National Weather Service.

According to AccuWeather, the more severe storms are probably going to occur in the mid morning. Those storms may be "borderline severe with hail and strong wind gusts.

New Jersey is where thunderstorms are most likely to occur, according to The Weather Channel. It will be on and off until eight o'clock on Thursday. Rainfall quantities up to half an inch are likely with a 90% probability, and larger amounts may occur in thunderstorms.

"Motorists should be prepared for quickly changing weather conditions where dry roads can become torrents of water in minutes," advised AccuWeather.

"If travel is necessary, give yourself more time because some roads can be blocked. Never drive through unidentified depths of water or around obstacles. In its coastal flood advisory, the National Weather Service advised people to "take the necessary precautions to protect property that is susceptible to flooding."

The good news is that conditions should improve on Friday and into the weekend. It is forecast that Friday will have sunny skies, while Saturday will have sunny skies. There's a 40% probability of afternoon showers on Sunday.
