NJ Faces Potential Strong Thunderstorms, High Winds, and Hail on Monday

WEATHER ALERT

NJ has have a warm and bright start to the week, but Monday is predicted to bring the possibility of thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service predicts that much of South Jersey will have Monday temperatures in the mid-to upper 70s.

However, forecasters noted that thunderstorms and sporadic showers are expected later in the afternoon and evening.

Stronger thunderstorms have the potential to produce small hail and wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say that any storms that do form will pass later in the evening, leaving Monday night and Tuesday clear.

Tuesday will see a temperature rebound into the mid 60s to low 70s after an overnight dip into the upper 40s to low 50s.
