Father Pleads Guilty in Heartbreaking Death of 3-Month-Old Daughter
According to Ocean County Prosecutors Office,in relation to the death of his infant daughter, a man from New Jersey pleaded guilty on Thursday.
Lakewood resident Ruben Santiago, 36, entered a guilty plea to aggravated manslaughter.
Back in May, the 3-month-old passed away. Authorities concluded that blunt force injuries to the head was the cause of her death.
Both Santiago and Caitlin Gibson, the girl's mother, were taken into custody.
Gibson is still facing charges. The prosecution is requesting that Santiago be sentenced to 25 years in jail without the possibility of early release.
His sentencing is scheduled for March.
