New Jersey is predicted to see a protracted period of precipitation beginning on Wednesday, with consistent precipitation and the possibility of sporadic showers throughout the weekend.

On Wednesday, New Jersey will have widespread rain due to a major weather system. Precipitation is predicted to start in the morning and last all day.

Highs in the mid 50s to low 60s will continue to be cool.
With sporadic wind gusts of up to 20 mph, east winds will be consistent and range from 10 to 15 mph.

In northern New Jersey, rain totals are expected to be half an inch, while in the southeast, they will be 1.25 inches.

According to the National Weather Service, moderate flooding may occur in urban and poorly-drained regions, although flash flooding is unlikely.

With a cold front moving in from the west, there is a continued threat of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.

With highs in the low to mid-70s on Saturday, there may be more chances of showers and thunderstorms.
The exact path of a developing low-pressure system will determine the amount of precipitation during the weekend. Keep up-to-date and continue to check your local weather forecast.
