According to the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, in relation to an event that happened in Little Egg Harbor Township on September 9, 2023, Marc Manfredonia, 33, of Little Egg Harbor, entered a guilty plea to robbery before the Honorable Guy P. Ryan on June 17, 2024. The State will be requesting a ten-year sentence to New Jersey State Prison at the time of his sentencing on August 9, 2024, subject to the provisions of the No Early Release Act.

Officers from the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department were called to a house on East Hudson Drive at around 4:30 a.m. on September 9, 2023, in response to a report of gunfire.

The victim had appeared at the Paterson, New Jersey, residence of Manfredonia and Chris Miller, 36. According to the prosecutor's office, Manfredonia and Miller pushed the victim from the house while Miller brandished a gun and insisted that he provide money to them via a smartphone app.

The investigator's report stated that after the deal was completed, the men asked for further money. According to the complaint, Miller shot the victim after he refused, and then both guys proceeded to physically abuse the victim.

Charges against Miller include attempted murder, robbery, and two gun offenses.
