On September 21, 2024, Troop “D” Cranbury Station troopers responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, northound outer roadway at milepost 95.9 in Carteret Borough, Middlesex County. One of the vehicles involved was struck and overturned, and its driver sustained serious injuries.

The ongoing investigation revealed that multiple vehicles were racing before the crash, and one collided with the victim’s vehicle. Cranbury Station Detective Bureau is seeking to identify and speak with the operator of the red pickup truck and obtain any video footage they may have.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the events leading up to it or has video evidence is urged to contact Troop “D” Cranbury Station Detective Bureau at (609) 860-9000 ext. 4424.
