NJ Weather Warning: Potential for Damaging Winds, Large Hail, and Tornado

NJ Weather Warning: Potential for Damaging Winds, Large Hail, and Tornado

The most recent forecast indicates that Wednesday will be hot, muggy, and stormy, with a chance of tornadoes in the Garden State.

The National Weather Service reported low dew points will introduce "dry heat" to New Jersey, something that residents in the west are accustomed to.

There's a chance for severe weather in the afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service has declared a "slight risk" for the whole state of New Jersey.

According to the National Weather Service, "damaging wind gusts should be the main threat considering the environment." "However given the strong low level directional and speed shear there will also be the potential for one or two tornadoes, especially over northeast PA into NW NJ."

Forecasters predict that severe flooding is unlikely and that the storms will not be sufficient to break the region's recent dry spell. The current warm and dry weather could result in a drought with a rapid beginning, the Climate Prediction Center said.

Following that, the weather will be pleasant and typical for the season before Saturday and Sunday bring additional heat, humidity, and storms.
