Ocean County Home Burglary: Suspect Flees, Later Captured by Police
According to Lacey Township Police Department, on Monday, November 18, 2024, officers responded to a residence on Sunrise Boulevard for a report of a male subject who had unlawfully entered a residence.
Officers met with the complainant who reported hearing a suspicious sound inside of her home, and discovering an unknown male subject inside the residence when she went to investigate further.
The homeowner confronted the suspect, who fled the home on foot.
It was also determined that the suspect entered a vehicle parked in the home’s garage and committed a theft.
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, detectives continued the investigation, which lead to the arrest of the suspect, 48 year old Mark Paturzzio of Manahawkin.
Mark was residing at the
Lacey Inn.
Mark was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with second degree Burglary of a Residential Dwelling, two counts of third degree Burglary, and Theft.
Mark was subsequently transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility, where he was lodged.
