Ocean County Man Arrested After Making Threat with Meat Cleaver

According to Lakewood Police, a Jackson Township man was taken into custody after threatening a coworker at the restaurant with a meat cleaver during a dispute in the kitchen on Christmas.

Qing Zheng was taken into custody at his Jackson residence.

Around 2:35 p.m., Lakewood police were summoned to the unidentified restaurant. The victim said to the authorities that Zheng had taken a meat cleaver and threatened the victim during a heated quarrel in the kitchen.
According to the authorities, the victim was unharmed.

Zheng was located, taken into custody, and charged with simple assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and terroristic threats on a complaint warrant, according to the police.

Lakewood police said he was taken to the Ocean County Jail.
