Ocean County Man Kills 30 Year-Old Wife
According to the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, on March 8, 2025, Gustavo Juarez-Perez, 38, of South Toms River, was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The charges were related to the death of his wife, Cheyanne Juarez, 30, of South Toms River, on March 8, 2025.
At around 9:15 p.m. on March 8, 2025, South Toms River Police Department officers received a 911 call regarding a female who was unconscious at a home on Hummel Drive. A female victim, later identified as Cheyanne Juarez, was found unconscious on the ground by responding officers. She had a belt around her neck and blood on her face.
A thorough investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, South Toms River Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, revealed that Gustavo Juarez-Perez was the individual responsible for his wife’s death.
Juarez-Perez was taken into custody at the residence without incident. He was transported to the
Ocean County Jail, where he is presently lodged pending a detention hearing.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
