Ocean County Resident Arrested for Child Pornography Charges

The Ocean County Prosecutors Office announced that on February 20, 2025, Fabian Lugo, 27, of Barnegat, was charged with Possession of Child Pornography.

This investigation was the result of a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The ICAC Task Force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was uploading images of child pornography via an internet application.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit identified an IP address associated with a Barnegat residence as the location from which the individual was accessing images of Child Pornography from the internet.

That individual was ultimately identified as Lugo.

On February 20, 2025, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Ocean County Regional SWAT team, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and Barnegat Township Police Department, executed a court-authorized search warrant on Lugo’s residence.

An initial forensic examination of Lugo’s electronic devices led to the discovery of several items of child pornography. Lugo was taken into custody at Barnegat Township Police Headquarters and then transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he is presently lodged.
The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
