One of Two Missing Monmouth Girls Located and Safe

On Wednesday morning, Neptune Police announced that one of the two missing girls from Monmouth County had been found.

Police said that Ariana Cosme, who had been missing since Friday, had been located and is now safe.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 15-year-old Payton Cox of Neptune Township remains missing

According to Christopher Swendeman, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Cox left her house at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, wearing a dark jacket, black and red checkered pants, black shoes, and a white zip-up hoodie.
Authorities say that Cox, who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, was carrying a black backpack. At 9:30 p.m., she was last observed getting on an NJT train in Long Branch that was going to Newark-Penn Station.

According to Swendeman, she might be in the Newark-New York region.
People are asked to call the Neptune Township Police Department at 732-988-8000 ext. 432 or Detective Michelle Tucker at the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office at 908-907-5210 if they have seen Cox or know where she might be.
