Due to reports of an active shooter on campus, Villanova University students were instructed to lock and barricade doors.
A report of an active shooter prompted Villanova University students to lock and barricade their doors.
An alert stating, "ACTIVE SHOOTER on VU campus," was received at approximately 4:30 p.m. Proceed to a safe area. Secure or block doors. Details will be added later.
Villanova University is experiencing an active shooter incident, according to confirmation from the Radnor Police Department.
Whether there are any victims of the incident is unknown.
Students and local people are being advised to stay indoors by Radnor police.
According to a timetable on the university's website, Thursday was "opening day" at Villanova, which included a family resource fair and information sessions, orientation, opening Mass, and a family picnic.
