Police Announce Identity of Woman Found Dead at Jersey Shore
Darlene Hall, 53, of Ocean Township, was identified Wednesday by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office as the woman who was discovered dead next to a snow-covered retention pond in Neptune Township on Monday afternoon.
The investigation is still ongoing, and it is unknown what caused her death.
Hall was discovered in the vicinity of
230 Jumping Brook Road in Neptune Township on Monday at around 1:07 p.m.
After receiving a 911 call about someone lying in a retention basin behind the Residence Inn motel's north side, local police were dispatched to the scene. Jersey Shore Premium Outlets and the Jumping Brook golf course are close by.
Officers found the body of a deceased adult woman when they arrived. The woman was discovered "lying in the snow in a retention basin, wearing only a shirt and shorts," according to police, who described her as white.
