Potential Tornadoes and Strong Winds Forecasted for New Jersey

According to the National Weather Service, Monday into Monday night looks to be quite active with the potential for severe weather!

Strong to severe thunderstorms later in the day on Monday. first showers push across NW region by 3 p.m. then stronger storms line arrives after 4 p.m. Storms exit by midnight. Gusty winds overnight into Tue. Highs near 72. Overnight lows near 52.

The majority of New Jersey is expected to see severe thunderstorms, hail, flooding, and dangerous wind gusts of up to 60 to 70 mph, according to AccuWeather analysts. From southeast Louisiana to New Jersey, severe weather will move up the Eastern Seaboard.

"A few severe thunderstorms could still produce a brief tornado," according to AccuWeather analysts, even though there is currently little chance of tornadoes on Monday. "High gusts, hail, and flash flooding will be the primary threats of severe weather on Monday."

It's too early to discern the details just yet, but another storm could occur later this week.
