Prepare for Bitter Cold Temperatures in NJ

According to the National Weather Service, the cold front is currently working its way through the region; Colder air is streaming in behind the front, which will yield temperatures in the 20s/30s by Thursday morning.

As wind and rain continue to dominate, the cold is awaiting its next opportunity to be a weather star. Around freezing is the normal wake-up temperature during this season.

That's what Thursday morning will be like low to mid-30s in the morning.

However, the breeze will make it feel much cooler. Anticipate chilly temperatures in the 20s. Thursday's daytime highs don't get much better even with a lot of sunshine. The highs are just a few degrees below their proper level. In the upper 30s to close to 40 (43 is normal).

According to the Ocean County Department of Human Services a A Code Blue alert has been issued from tonight, Wednesday, December 11th through Sunday, December 15th.
