While in the Region, the Royal Couple Met with Service Men and their Families to Commemorate Veterans Day and the UK's Remembrance Day
Military personnel stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst welcome visitors of various types on a regular basis. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid a rare visit to the site on Thursday, helping to commemorate soldiers on Veterans Day.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid a visit to the Joint Base, where they met with sailors, soldiers, Marines, airmen, and Coast Guard members, as well as their families, "to discuss the challenges and experiences they have had throughout their military careers," according to a Facebook post from the base.
According to Vanity Fair, the pair was in the region for a Veterans Day event at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum in New York City on Wednesday night.
According to the United Kingdom's official website on Harry's military service, he served in the British Royal Army for ten years and continues to help veterans as they transition back to civilian life.
