Rainfall Forecast: Expect Heavier Storms at the NJ Shore
Sporadic showers, bringing with them perhaps a tenth or two tenths of an inch of rain, are expected to plague sections of New Jersey according to the National Weather Service. This will be followed by more consistent rain showers on Thursday.
In general, forecasters are predicting between a quarter and a half of an inch of rain in northwest New Jersey, one to two inches along Interstate 95 and in areas south and east of it, and up to two inches in certain coastal locations before the rain stops on Thursday night.
By Thursday night, wind gusts of up to 20 to 30 mph are predicted. Friday looks to be largely sunny with highs in the low to mid-50s, but strong winds are also predicted.
The Jersey Shore will see the most rainfall and the largest amount of water. By Thursday morning, there will be a lot of puddles in low-lying places.

The upcoming weather forecast predicts on Thursday showers and highs around 53. As soon as the system slides off the beaches, the winds pick up speed. On Friday, expect windy but sunny weather with temperatures to the mid to upper 50s.
