On Jan. 1, 2025, the State Park Service is offering 28 hikes, and one lighthouse climb, across the Garden State. 🚶🏻‍♂️Last year, 1,876 dedicated individuals participated in 2024’s First Day Hikes throughout New Jersey’s state parks, forests, historic sites and recreation areas. With 31 hikes and one lighthouse climb offered, 4,833.5 miles of New Jersey’s various landscapes and terrains were hiked and climbed.
