Road Closures and Delays Due to Water Main Break in Toms River
According to Toms River Police Department, due to a water main break, two lanes of eastbound Route 37 will be closed until around 7 a.m. on Thursday, authorities announced on Wednesday night.
As about 5 p.m., one lane of traffic was passing the location of the break on the exit ramp from
Route 37 to Whittier Avenue.
The water main break is affecting both Bubblez Car Wash and the Toms River Diner, according to Veolia spokesman John Passuth.
Along with Veolia, JF Kiely workers and the state Department of Transportation are also present at the site to fix the bowed pavement caused by the water main break, according to Toms River Lieutenant Gene Bachonski.
If at all possible, drivers are asked to stay out of the break's area.
