Road Rage Incident Leads to Stabbing of Brick Man at this Ocean County Bank

According to the Point Pleasant Police Department, in early November, a road rage confrontation in a bank parking lot at the TD Bank on Bridge Ave, turned violent, leading to the stabbing of a Brick Township man and the arrest of a Point Pleasant Beach man, Point Pleasant police said Thursday.

Point Pleasant Beach resident Nicholas Ippolito, 32, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of unlawfully possessing a weapon in connection with the Nov. 3 attack, according to Point Pleasant Capt. Christopher Leonhardt.

According to Leonhardt, Ippolito is charged with stabbing the 60-year-old Brick man in the bicep during the altercation that took place in the TD Bank parking lot on Bridge Avenue at approximately 11:15 a.m.

According to Leonhardt, the Brick man received non-life-threatening medical attention at a local hospital.

Police characterized the altercation as a road rage incident, although they did not immediately know what started it.
