Investigation Launched After Rutgers Student Recorded Shower Footage

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said on Wednesday that 18-year-old Philadelphia resident Michael Williams is accused of three charges of invasion of privacy and one count of tampering with evidence.

Authorities named him as the culprit in a string of events reported by women on Rutgers campus, and he was taken into custody on Friday.

The three separate incidents happened between Oct. 2 and Oct. 25, officials said.

Williams is in custody at Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending a detention hearing.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone with tips about the case to call Det. Haley Hlavka at 732-745-3287.
