According to NJ State Police, a school bus was involved in a car crash on I-195 East Thursday morning that left five individuals hurt.

Police arrived at the scene of the collision at 7:24 a.m. on I-195 East at Exit 35B in Wall Township.

Reports stated that the school bus was heading east on I-195 when it struck a GMC van and overturned.
Authorities said one juvenile passenger was critically injured in the collision, while the driver and three other young passengers had minor injuries.

The bus driver and four other passengers were sent to a nearby hospital. The driver of the GNC was unharmed.

The bus involved in the crash was not a school bus, and there were no students on board, according to a pop-up message on the Wall Township Public Schools website.
Brian Foster, the Mayor of Holmdel, verified that the bus was carrying high school students from Holmdel to Communications High School, according to an article in the Asbury Park Press.
