Search Continues for 22-Year-Old Missing in Ocean County: Have You Seen Him?

A 22-year-old Jackson Township man went missing a week ago, and authorities are still looking for him.

According to Jackson police, Mortimer Wortman was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on November 21 in the woods close to High Bridge Road in the Collier Mills Wildlife Management Area. Wortman is now considered missing and endangered.

He was dressed in blue pants, a burgundy sweatshirt, and a black T-shirt. According to authorities, he has light complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes, a nose piercing, and multiple earrings in each ear. He stands five feet ten inches tall and weighs roughly 200 pounds.

According to News 12 New Jersey, Wortman's automobile was discovered at the Jackson Regional Day School parking lot, which is close to Wortman's mother's house. The school, which is a part of the Manchester Township School District and serves kids with special needs and developmental disabilities up to age 21, is located behind High Bridge Road.

According to the News 12 report, numerous searches have been conducted in that area.
In addition to the efforts of law enforcement, a GoFundMe campaign has been established to generate funds for a private investigator to continue looking for Wortman.

Wortman is a student at Rutgers University, according to a statement released on Friday according to NJ.com.
