The Newark Public Safety Director is asking for the community’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Ashley Vargas, who has been reported missing from Newark.

Ashley was last seen on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in the area of South 9th Street near Central Avenue. She is described as Hispanic, approximately 5 feet tall, weighing about 115 pounds. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing black pants and a black sweater.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Ashley Vargas’ whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All tips can remain anonymous, are kept confidential, and may be eligible for a reward.
